Previously, all these treatments could be corrected only with a laser or chemical peel. But now a series of Led light treatments without any side effects, have shown significant results.
Led Light triggers cellular activity producing ATP, ( ATP is a high-energy molecule found in every cell. Its job is to store and supply the cell with needed energy.) once produced, the tissue uses it to carries out the healing and rejuvenation in the treated area.
To help maximize results Led Light Therapy is often used in conjunction after other treatments such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion and laser treatments.
Led Light Therapy is a good option for anyone who wants to improve the overall appearance of their skin. It is safe and effective for all skin types. During a LED light therapy skin treatment, a panel of gentle light is held right above your skin while you wear a protective cover over your eyes.
In most cases, you’ll see immediate improvements after only one treatment. Your skin will appear more radiant, and any redness or irritation is calmed. If you’re looking to use LED light therapy to really smooth, firm, tighten, and clear up your skin, it is recommended to take 6 – 8 sessions a week or two apart, followed by a maintenance treatment every 2 months. Each session of the treatments takes 20 to 30 minutes.
As always, discuss any allergies or skin sensitivities with your cosmetic doctor or aesthetician before starting a treatment.
LED or Light Emitting Diodes are unique in their ability to generate specific light frequencies similar to lasers, without damaging the tissues. LED produces diffuse and uniform light that penetrates deeper than laser light, and is applied uniformly over the area of treatment.
LED therapy is now recognized as one of the safest, quickest, as well as most affordable ways to achieve younger looking skin. It is a non-invasive treatment that requires no surgery, harsh chemicals, lasers, or numbing creams, with no down time.
LED Skin Therapy Helps:
- Regenerate skin tissue
- Smooth wrinkles and fine lines
- Improve skin appearance
- Boost collagen production
- Even out pigmentation
- Minimize rosacea
- Minimize sun damage
- Diminish acne scars
How It Works
Wavelengths from 600 to 900 nm pass through blood and water into tissues more easily than other wavelengths. Around 35% of the energy in this range is absorbed by a specific proton pump in the mitochondria. The light at four specific wavelengths kick-starts the CCO pump to generate more cellular energy. The key proteins are inherited from light assisted bacteria, which were a part of the very first mitochondria.
There is a sudden drop off in absorption spectrum of blood to allow the wavelengths to pass through, and this indicates the evolution of hemoglobin, which may have been influenced by cells benefiting from the wavelengths. An instant increase in respiration caused due to the Sun might help animals in increasing their activity during the day besides the heat provided by the sun, which supports the release of oxygen.
The wavelengths of the Sun can provide optimum 4 J/cm^2 at depths of 1 inch (using 1% transmission) after 1 – 3 hours of exposure in bright sunlight, reaching the skin as well as a large percentage of muscle tissue in thin humans with minimum clothing.
With the help of cell-specific wavelengths, LED is able to access targeted photoreceptors, inducing therapeutic photo response that improves pigmentation, blemishes, wrinkles and redness.
Red LED Pulse Light Therapy for Rosacea, Anti-ageing, Sun Damage and Hyperpigmentation:
The recommended frequency of the red LED light treatment is a 30 minute treatment every 7-10 days for a period of 6 weeks. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 30 to 60 days.
Blue LED Pulse Light Therapy for Acne:
The blue light LED treatment consists of three 20 minute treatments every week, for 2 weeks. After this, the treatments are cut back to 2 per week for another 4 weeks. Maintenance treatments are recommended every four to six weeks, depending upon the client’s lifestyle as well as UV exposure.
Rosacea skin calms down after about 6 to 8 treatment sessions. For production of collagen and anti-ageing you will notice results in 3 – 4 weeks. However, a few individuals notice results much quicker. The pain subsides and the wounds heal much faster and better as each treatment progresses (use for 30 minutes per area each day).
Usually the pain and inflammation subside after just a couple of days of use. The skin tone and texture improve from the very first treatment. The pigmentation fades over the course of 15 or more treatments.
In just a few weeks, most individuals achieve dramatic reduction and improvement in the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, crow’s-feet, as well as age spots on the face, neck, chest and hands with 17 minutes use per day. The diodes safely touch the face. For pain relief, results can be achieved within days of using the LED Red Light Therapy.
