Geneoplasty is a procedure that corrects or reshapes a ‘weak’ chin by augmentation, by means of an implant or bone advancement to improve the shape and balance of the face.* It is done using general anesthesia.
After surgery, the patient will be closely monitored in the hospital for about two days, after which he/she may be discharged with instruction to follow up in about 7 days. Genioplasty/liposculpture can improve not only the profile but the definition of the jawline, giving a more youthful look, sharply defined jawline and chin shape; along with a better facial balance.*
